"Winter Bird" Project
I did this 6" X 8" marquetry picture as birthday present for my mom. This project was based on the "Winter Bird" project which can be found in the book "The Art of Marquertry" by Craig Vandall Stevens. This book has served as an invaluable guide in teaching myself the art of marquetry via the "double-bevel" cutting technique. I am very lucky to have been given my grandfather's (E. Muster) 1940's(?) vintage 16" Delta scroll saw which I could use for this project.
